This is generally comprised of one or more larger leaves, tightly wound to hold the filler in place. The wrapper leaf is the outermost part of a cigar, and is generally very high in quality, making it one of the most critical components of flavor. Generally, the darker brown the cigar's coloring is, the sweeter it will taste. Other factors such as storage and age also affect the flavor of a cigar. It's important to store quality cigars in a humidor for proper aging and humidification. Until you've tried several types of cigars, it's hard to know which you personally prefer. If you're just starting out, we suggest that you select a variety pack of long, short, sweet, mild, thick, and thin cigars, so you can decide which is most pleasing to your palate.
